 Cod was the favourite by qutie a bit, followed by other games, then Halo.

These are the results.

Halloween. (;

What are your thoughts on Halloween? Should we celebrate it in Australia?

I think we should celebrate Halloween. Sure, it’s not Australian, but it gives you something to do with your friends and/or family, or have a party.

 What actually is Halloween? When and how did it begin?

Halloween started in Ireland about 2,000 years ago with a group of people called the Celtics. October 31st was considered the end of the year and as a result they threw a large celebration, which was known as Samhain. This celebration of the autumn harvest and the Celtic new year, when they believed spirits could come back and visit with living relatives.

If you did celebrate Halloween this year, what did you do? Why?

I didn’t celebrate Halloween this year because it was on a Monday.

On Friday the 21/10/11, i went to the Hobart show with my friend Claire E.
We got there at around 2:30pm. The first thing we did was meet up with some of our other friends, Georgia, Sam, Ruby, Allana, Kyle, Chloe,and a few others.
We went on the Alpine Express, because apparently it’s the most fun ride ever, according to Toby..(:

Later on we watched the Tacio Drummers,and the Braaap guys do performances.
After that we watched the fireworks. They were amazing.

-That’s about it.. (:

Australian places to see ;

Movie World, Queensland.
This theme park is really cool. There are stunt car drivers, cartoon characters, rides, shops, and heaps more.
Personally my favourite theme park. :)

Wet ‘n’ Wild, Queensland. This theme park is awesome, and it’s themed around water rides. So bring your bathers! :)

Cradle Mountain, Tasmania. This is an amazing place, especially for bush walkers, or just someone looking to relax. It has lots of wildlife. It can be pretty cold though, so bring your jumpers!

Tomahawk, Tasmania. This place is really laid back and quiet. The locals are really nice and friendly, and the weather is usually around 20 degrees.

Luna Park, Melbourne, Australia. This is another theme park, but it’s got lots of different rides, and is more like a carnival theme.

Decimals Reflection~

Filed under: Numeracy,School — Claire at 6:17 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2011

In maths lately we have been working on Decimals.
First off, we did a Pre Test, to see what we already knew about Decimals, but I was sick that day.
Then we started work on the easy stuff first, addition and subtraction, then moved on to the harder stuff, multiply and divide.
The thing I found the easiest was turning a fractio into a decimal, and turning a decimal into a fraction.

After we had completed all of the activities, we had a Post Test.
My score was 10 out of 22, which I thought was pretty good because I wasn’t there on the first day.

And thats my relflection on Decimals. :)

-Ps; next we are doing Geometry. :)
